DELIVERANCE MINISTRY IN AN AGE WHERE EVERYTHING IS ENTERTAINMENT
Must Resist
THE TEMPTATION TO MAKE A SHOW OUT OF THE WORK OF SETTING PEOPLE FREE
This book is the 20+ year journey of one pastor and one church trying to help desperate people and remain rooted at the same time. We work through the Scriptures, we look at church history, we evaluate the 5 major models that have been and are called upon, we talk about authority and spiritual gifts, and outline where we have landed.
DO WE NEED THIS CONVERSATION?
Deliverance
We, as Christians, are the only ones on earth that can help our neighbours when it comes to supernatural evil. Do you really believe this? I think most of us intellectually would say yes, but what do we do? Honestly, many of us are afraid and feel out of our depth. Others of us have tried, and are frustrated, and have seen things go so wrong and many people hurt. How do we help people? What does the Bible really say? How did Christians deal with this in many cultures for over 2,000 years? Where are the lines between sin, the demonic, mental illness, and cultural bias?
This book talks about what is universally applicable and what must be changed on the ground in different churches and cultures. Does this book have all the answers? No. Have I made mistakes? Oh, yes. Are we still adapting, learning, and growing? Everyday. We have seen hundreds of people be set free and live the lives Jesus promised in John 10:10a. Why read this book — no matter your history, theology, bias, pain, or ignorance? Because people all around you, and maybe even you, need to be set free.

Interested in learning about and implementing Restoration Prayer in your ministry context? Join us for the Restoration Prayer Conference 2024.
Sanctus Church is excited to host the Restoration Prayer Conference 2024! This will be a gathering for pastors and key volunteers in church communities who want to understand how to deal with spiritual conflict in a church environment.
During the two days of the conference, Pastor Jon Thompson will walk through the theology, practices, and ideologies of this ministry as well as its history at Sanctus Church. Topics will include team dynamics, spiritual gifts, and the structural process that Sanctus has adopted. The content will work in tandem with Pastor Jon’s second book, Deliverance; go further in-depth with practical teachings that lead to a successful Restoration Prayer ministry.
